These specially designed drill guards give full protection from quill to drill point by the smooth telescopic action of the guards, which collapse as the drill penetrates the work piece, returning to the extended position when the spindle is raised. These units are made from strong aluminum extrusions and injection molded high impact polycarbonate which offers clear and safe vision through body and visor. In the operating position the guards are securely locked in the closed position by a spring-loaded plunger pin assembly. When released, the guard hinges up, allowing instant access for cutting tool and /or chuck change. All drill guards comply fully with BS EN 292 "Safety of Machinery" adjustable guards.
